OVERVIEW :

Meteora is an impressive complex of dark rocks in the heart of Greece.  Old monasteries are built of the top of some of the rocks which, as a whole, are the second most important monastic complex in Greece after Mount Athos. It has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988.

Both the journey and the destination are a spectacular sight of nature andman-madestructure. The place is a protected  Natura 2000 habitat , enchanting  with its rich flora and fauna.
